Thursday February 13: Com Truise rarely plays a venue like Smartbar in this city and you’re not likely to see it in these parts again for awhile. Starting in May Seth Haley will be going back on the road for a string of dates with Tycho and decidedly larger venues. Don’t. Miss. [ tix ]
Friday February 14: “What I am doing is nothing really that new, it exists within an already established paradigm of dance music and so the only thing I hope for is perhaps identifying myself within that framework.” Those were the modest goals of DJ Seinfeld three years ago when the “lofi house” he championed had begun to make a few ripples. Plenty of events we could pick for that rare Valentine’s Day that settles on a Friday night but staying up late at Smartbar for Seinfeld and SB music director Olin is what’s in the cards. [ tix ]
Saturday February 15: If you can think of anything better to do with your life than lacing up roller skates and listening to Eli Escobar, you have a better imagination than we do. Eli is headlining House Boogie Roller Disco at Logan Square Auditorium with Zach Joseph, Tesh, Ilana Ariella, Randall Dean and Desadeca. [ tix ]

The Backline
Two other plugs to get in here: Psycho Bitch and Lady D are celebrating their birthdays at Terry Hunter’s Sky Affair with All The Way Kay at the Cerise Rooftop downtown during the daytime, and Tied is throwing a Venue TBA event with Sarko (best known from Visionquest), Snad and Rrrron (we counted the r’s out loud as we typed them). Also on Thursday, DJ Heather plays long-running residency Blender at Berlin with Shmoo and Redux.
