Festival season is more or less postponed this summer as even the most ambitious live events feature fewer than 300 people but the City of Chicago is holding two online concerts this Friday and Saturday to keep the fire burning.
Millennium Park At Home: House Music starts Friday May 22 at 6pm and continues on Saturday May 23 at 6pm and will be broadcast live on the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events YouTube channel at youtube.com/chicagodcase. The Chicago House Music Festival usually attracts thousands for the free Memorial Day weekend shows and are looking for the same turnout this weekend. 5 Mag is hosting the second of two days; the line-up is below:

2020 was designated the “Year of Chicago Music” before the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown, though the designation has now been carried into 2021 and the city’s House Music legacy plays an important part.
